Welcome to the Edmonton Rugby Union Referees Society (ERURS) website.

We have created this with the intention of improving communications between ERURS Members and the ERURS Executive Board, and communication between all other ERU partners and other members of the ERU rugby community and the ERURS.

We have tried to answer many of the frequently asked questions that we get from players, coaches and team administrators – all while providing the information that our own ERURS Members need.

We welcome questions and input. You can send us questions, commendations and complaints privately through the confidential Commendation-Complaint line. You can also add public suggestions that all readers can read and comment on through the Suggestion Blog in the menu to the lower right.

…the ERURS Executive Meeting Minutes
The ERURS Executive have meetings every five weeks or so. The minutes are available to ERURS members in good standing. If you are interested in the ERURS meeting minutes, please contact the ERURS Executive Board at the contact e-mail above.

The ERURS has three kinds of meetings: General Meetings of the Executive; Special Meetings of the Members for things like By-Law changes; and, the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Society where the elections are taken care of as well as discussion of the state of the union.

  1. The next General Meeting of the Executive is Monday, October 5/09. The ERURS Executive have general meetings every 4-5 weeks. The minutes are available to ERURS Members in good standing at any time. Everyone is invited to attend the meetings, though only the people who hold the Executive elected positions may vote on an issue. The President may vote only in case of a tie.
  2. There is a Special Meeting to review the ERURS Bylaws that is usually held immediately before the AGM. This year the AGM will be on Saturday, January 23/09.
